Is the protective insert removable?
Yes. The insert lifts out of its dedicated compartment in seconds, so the pack can go from a full protection setup to a lighter everyday carry whenever you want.
What level of protection does the insert provide?
The insert is specified to NIJ Level IIIA standards, the same rating used for soft body armor.
Can the solar system charge a phone or laptop?
Yes. The integrated system and the foldable accessory charge USB-C devices: phones, earbuds, tablets, and power banks. Charging speeds might vary depending on the device, cable, and amount of UV available during the day
When will my order ship?
If in stock, your order will be shipped within 2-3 business days after we receive it.
What is the return policy?
Unopened products can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. Start a return from your account and a prepaid label will be sent right away.
Is the ballistic panel visible or does it look tactical?
No. The panel is fully concealed inside a discreet sleeve. From the outside it looks like a premium EDC backpack, no MOLLE, no patches, no tactical appearance.
Will this fit a 15-inch laptop?
Yes, the padded laptop compartment accommodates most 15" laptops and tablets.
Is this backpack allowed on airplanes?
Yes. The ballistic sleeve is a soft armor and does not violate airline travel policy.
Does the solar panel charge while I'm walking?
Yes. The flexible High Efficiency panel charges while the bag is on your back in direct or partial sunlight, keeping your devices topped off throughout your commute, or you can charge an optional power bank. (Charging speeds depend on the device, charging cable, and available UV rays [amount of direct sunlight])
Is the panel legal to own?
Body armor, including soft ballistic panels, is legal for law-abiding adults to own in most US states. Please check your local and state regulations before purchase.
How do I care for the ballistic panel?
Keep the panel dry and avoid prolonged compression or folding. Spot-clean the backpack exterior only; never machine-wash the panel.
Can I upgrade to the bulletproof version later?
The bulletproof version is a separate product, the Fortified BULLETPROOF Solar Backpack, which includes an NIJ Level IIIA ballistic panel sleeve in addition to all the solar features. You can also choose to insert your own panel or purchase one that will fit inside the backpack. Make sure to insert it correctly since the panel has clearly stated instructions "WEARFACE".
